This program will address the needs of new francophone vulnerable immigrants and refugees in our community. The focus will be on addressing literacy and life skills as a community concern. Clients in this program will learn about issues involving Canadian norms:

  • How to seek employment in BC
  • Accessing community resources
  • Housing opportunities
  • Health Information
  • Information about Education and Technology
  • Information on how to start a small business
  • Arts and cultural information
  • How to access government services and where to find help in our community

Another benefit of this program is the opportunity for meeting others in a similar situation and building a support network. The program rotates every last Friday of the month. As part of our services to the community, clients would be referred or provided information of other service providers, government resources and other bigger mainstream services depending on their needs.
